For an evening honoring excellence while raising funds for a worthy cause.

JLD Community Solutions is hosting our 2023 "Men of Valor Christmas Ball". We are honoring men of excellence in the Lexington community while raising funds for our:

• Scholarship program (established since 2010)
• Mentorship program (pilot program beginning 2024)
• Organization operational expenses (it takes a village to do this work!)

We have some amazing participants who are sponsored by board members and individuals in our community. We are so grateful for their participation.

Each participant will team up with their sponsor for a friendly competition! Leading up to the day of the event each of the participants, along with their sponsor, will take part in selling event tickets and hosting fundraising events. The participant who raises the most funds will be crowned as the 2023 "Men of Valor Christmas Ball" Winner!

During this evening of excellence you can expect to enjoy viewing participants take part in categories such as talent, fashion and Q&A. You can also expect an evening of entertainment, engagement and education. Our host for the event is Mr. Cory Holt.

Our prior year signature event, the "Where They Are Now" Gala, resulted in our ability to double the scholarships awarded from $1,500 in 2022 to $3,000 in 2023. Will you help us double our awards for 2024?

When we present our 2024 scholarship awards and we’re blessed with the privilege of seeing the smile on each of the recipients faces, you are a part of placing that smile on their face!

As we take a leap of faith starting our mentorship program, pouring into the lives of 8th - 11th grade young men of color, you are taking that leap of faith with us!

As we spread positivity, raise awareness regarding the impacts of gun violence and share ideas on how we can help make our community be safer, you are a part of being a change for good along with us.
